Correct handling of medical waste in the office.
1.)Medical waste with sharp ends and edges (e.g. needles, scalpels, drills) is collected in single-use containers of red color, rigid, resistant to moisture, mechanically resistant to puncture or cutting.
2.)Medical waste (e.g. gloves, dressings, lignin) with the exception of waste with sharp ends and edges is collected in single-use containers or bags made of polyethylene foil, red, durable, resistant to moisture and chemicals, with the possibility of single closure.
Containers or bags are filled to a maximum of 2/3 of their volume in a way that allows them to be safely closed.
A container or bag containing medical waste should have a visible identification marking that includes:
the code of the medical waste stored in it,
the name of the medical waste producer,
the REGON number of the medical waste producer,
the number of the registry book of the medical waste producer in the register of entities performing medical activities, together with the registration authority,
the date and time of opening (start of use),
the date and time of closing.
