What is medical waste?

Medical waste, in accordance with the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste, is waste generated in connection with the provision of health services and conducting research and scientific experiments in the field of medicine.

The detailed method of handling medical waste is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 5 October 2017 on the detailed handling of medical waste.
