What is hazardous waste?
This is waste that, if released into the natural environment, may pose a threat to humans, animals and other life forms.
The main sources of hazardous waste include:

- mineral oils and oily substances,
- pharmaceuticals, medicines and compounds used in medicine or veterinary medicine,
- wood impregnation or preservation agents,
- biocides and phytopharmaceuticals,
- substances containing PCBs,
- inks, dyes, pigments, paints, lacquers or varnishes,
- resins, latex, glues or adhesives,
- pyrotechnics and other explosives,
- chemicals used in the photographic industry,
