Veterinary waste - what is it and where is it produced?

Veterinary waste - waste generated in connection with the examination, treatment of animals or provision of veterinary services, as well as in connection with conducting scientific research and experiments on animals.

Veterinary waste is most often generated in:

veterinary clinics,
laboratories,
animal shelters,
animal clinics and hospitals.
The detailed procedure for handling veterinary waste is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of 1 October 2010 on the detailed procedure for handling veterinary waste.
